  • Michael Jordan was born in February 17, 1963. Michael Jordan is a businessman, the owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets and the greatest basketball player to ever play. Michael Jordan popularized basketball globally in the 1980s and 1990s due to his astounding talent and business. He played for 15 seasons and won 6 championships. He has 2 three-peat and could’ve had won the 6 championships in a row if he did not retire for one year for baseball.

    His most iconic moment was dunking from the free throw line during the NBA Dunk Contest which made him win the trophy for best dunks. Another iconic moment was when he shot the game winning shot against the Utah Jazz to secure himself another championship.

    He was named “The Greatest North American athlete of the 20th century by ESPN. He has been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame and inducted in 2010 as one of the members of the United States Olympic Basketball Team known as “The Dream Team”.

    In Michael Jordan’s entire 15 season basketball career, he averaged 30.1 points per game, 6.2 rebounds per game, 5.3 assists per game, 2.3 steals per game, and 0.8 blocks a game. That is why he is considered the greatest because he was consistent in every stat.
